footer has been laid, the blocks are ready to go, a strong foundation
deep trench dug in ground, place for plastic pipe to run, electricity
rusted metal junk, now used as a hive for bees, nature recycling
it has been awhile since i last posted…things have been quite hectic and out of the ordinary…but here are some updates. the footers have been laid and the foundation blocks delivered. the blocks to build the garage were also delivered…and placed inside the house! we had to get the block company to come back out and move them (for a small fee). first costly lesson: there is no such thing as too much communication when building a house.
most of the trench was dug for the electrical conduit. there is about 50 ft left to go…the man doing the dozer work ran into a HUGE rock and could not get through. we are now waiting on the rock saw man to come out and do his thing. we did get the conduit down in the finished part of the trench so that much is completed.
jason and i were putting up “no hunting/trespassing” signs when we came across bottles/trash/rusted junk everywhere. (i will have much cleaning to do!) on one of the rusted metal pieces of junk, there was a honeycomb with bees buzzing about. i went back the next week to snap a photo, but something/someone had gotten all the honey and the bees were gone. now that i know there are “homeless” bees out there i think i may seriously look into beekeeping…i must come up with a clever name for my apiary.
