the roof is finished! (yes, all of it!) jason and i went out thursday to work on the porch roof. jason’s dad is still getting over the flu so i was up there helping him with this section. i am so proud of and impressed by the job jason did on the roof! i did not realise it was such a wearing task.
the stucco guys finished the gable above the porch wednesday. it looks great! the dark trim will really stand out against the white stucco. they will wait until the drywall has been installed to finish the stucco on the rest of the house. apparently, all the hammering and whatnot can cause cracks in the stucco.
while out there thursday, the plumber and his crew were there starting the rough-in. they got quite a bit done, but will have to come back one day next week to finish up because we were unaware they needed the exact tub/shower faucets to do the rough-in. (third costly lesson: order/buy things you really like when you find them just in case they are needed.) the hvac guy and his crew also showed up. they dropped off their supplies thursday and went back yesterday to get started before the plumbing crew got there. i can imagine it would be too crowded with a plumbing crew AND an hvac crew trying to run all their lines under and through the house at the same time!
