roof finished (umm...except the porch)

gloomy sky above, happy anxious girl below, ridge tiles in between

little trees remain, greenery soon to join them, once spring comes back round

no longer hidden, winter makes house visible, hurry back summer

as my title states the roof is finished…on the house and garage anyway.  jason got the ridge tiles secured and they look awesome.  (those are the circular-ish top tiles you see in the first photo.)  however, the porch is awaiting its roof.  that can only be done after the stucco on the area above the porch roof has been finished as we don't want those tiles getting broken or covered with stucco.  we went out there tuesday with hopes of laying those tiles, but the stucco guy had not finished that area yet.

i realised i had not posted a view of the house from the front since the porch had been built.  i was able to get the front doors primed before it got too cold.  they will be painted a rich brown.  you can tell we like earthtones, no?!

there is an old trail that someone made years ago that runs through our property and connects to the neighbouring one.  standing on part of the trail you can see our place hidden amongst the trees (much more hidden in the summer, thank goodness).
