garage walls are up

gravel covered drive, curving and turning through woods, cleaning muddy tires

leaves are falling off, bare limbs are starting to show, winter on its way

garage walls are up, shady lounging spot for now, waiting for its roof

after being informed by the inspector that it is our duty to keep the road clean, we got some large gravel put down to help keep the mud off the main road and highway.  it looks more like a “real” driveway now.  the concrete foundation for the garage was laid and had to cure for a week.  i was playing around with shadows that were being cast on it whilst it was curing.  the garage walls are up and look very square.  my dad and i went out yesterday to finish cleaning up the sand/mortar mix left on the floor.  now it’s spotless…as spotless as an open garage floor in the middle of a wooded lot in the fall can be, that is!

we found a framer.  he seems very knowledgeable and nice…and comes highly recommended by one of Jason’s friends.  he and his crew start framing tuesday.  i’m excited!
