house walls are up

sturdy subfloor set, ready for romping around, playtime with molly

walking up the drive, looking through the trees you see, first wall in its place

last week went by very fast.  when the framers showed up tuesday morning, they immediately got to work.  these guys are fast.  the delays that came were from not enough studs to build walls and not enough nails to hold them together.  second (time) costly lesson: order a bit more than you think you’ll need.  they got the subfloor down and the walls framed before we left thursday afternoon.  when i went out sunday with my parents, the plywood sheathing was up and the top plate in place.  the trusses and roof get put on this week.  things are starting to take shape…
